Marlene graduated as a vet from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala, in 2005. She has a broad background in the veterinary field, with experience from both small clinics and big hospitals in small animal practice, pharmaceutical industry, aquatic medicine practice, national and international research cooperation and university teaching. She has also been a member of both the University board as well as The Swedish Veterinary Association Board for several years. Marlene’s doctoral thesis concerned anthelmintic resistance in cattle, from both a molecular perspective and practical treatment strategies in the field.
After working as acting State veterinarian in the National Veterinary Institute in Sweden since 2014, and head of section, she became Country Medical Director of Evidensia Sweden in January 2018. Marlene is the permanent chair of the Swedish Clinical Board and is part of the Swedish and European Group Management teams.
