Alistair qualified from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. A brief period in mixed practice saw him return to his home town of Inverness where he joined the team at Crown Vets, becoming a Director in 2012 and joining IVC Evidensia in 2013. He obtained the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary in 2014, founding Crown Vets Referrals later that year.
Alistair chaired the UK Clinical Board from 2015 to 2019, recently becoming Senior Vice Chair. He continues to represent the UK and Ireland on the Group Veterinary Medical Board, where ideas and initiatives are shared amongst European Colleagues.
