Community Grants: Fulfilling Our Sustainability Promise to be 'A Force for Good'

Our purpose at IVC Evidensia is Healthy Animals, Happy Owners. To deliver our purpose, we keep three promises together, including our Sustainability Promise to be a force for good.

We know that everyone across the Group - whether working in one of our veterinary clinics, hospitals or crematoria - play an important role in thousands of communities across the world. Within our Sustainability Promise is our commitment to these local communities. We support our teams in playing an active part through the Local Community Grants Fund, so that they have the ability to support a local cause they care about.
Each veterinary group, hospital, crematorium or central team from across IVC Evidensia can apply for a Local Community Grant each year to support a local cause. The grants so far have been well received by our community partners, and also been well received by our teams, who really value this kind of community engagement.
To date, thanks to the Fund, we have awarded 140 Local Community Grants and supported 184 charities across nine countries.

Ark Vetcare Practice in Ireland used their Community Fund to support their local Gaelic Athletic Association, called CLG Na Fianna, who used the donation to buy training kits for members of the club, including children with disabilities. As you can see, they were very happy to receive their new kits!
Our colleagues at Veteria Tagesklinik GmbH in Germany were able to support their local animal shelter - Königs Wusterhausen – thanks to the IVC Evidensia Community Grant Fund. Clinic Managers Karina Baumgart and Mandy Ebel presented the cheque to the animal shelter manager, Dr Wendland, on the shelter's open day.
The team from Valley Veterinary Services in Chilliwack, Canada, present their Community Grant to ‘Bowls of Hope’: a non-profit society that supplies meals to children in local schools who may not have access to food at home.

Veterinarian Dr. Jochen Rönnert from the Gotha Small Animal Centre, Germany, presents their Grant to the Waltershausen association, which takes care of street cats by giving them medical care, shelter and, if possible, a home.
