Evidensia Sørlandet Animal Hospital will be operated in parallel with Evidensia Kristiansand Animal Clinic, with Hanne H. Christiansen heading both the animal hospital and the clinic. The construction of the new animal hospital is well underway, and both the environment and accessibility have been taken into account throughout the design and construction processes with among other things, charging stations for electric cars and environmentally friendly heating.

New positions will be announced to cover the operational requirements of both sites. In addition, part of the current clinic team will be move across  to help establish the hospital. Evidensia Søgne Dyreklinikk will also provide a support function.

Referrals and specialised services
Many patients require hospitalisation both pre and post treatment; monitoring, care, pain relief and attention around the clock. This also applies to animals suffering critical illness where continuous treatment such as fluids and medication may be necessary.

“The new animal hospital will receive referrals from animal clinics throughout southern Norway, and will meet the specialised needs that the increasing number of critically ill animal patients of the region require. Travel distances and times will now be much shorter for patients and their owners with vastly increased convenience to an extensive range of services and facilities,” explains Hanne H. Christiansen.

She continues, “It will be a very well-equipped animal hospital with veterinarians of special expertise in various fields and this, in combination with better and more efficient administration systems, allows us to free up time to provide even better care to animals.”

Evidensia Sørlandet Animal Hospital we will be able to offer everything from claw clipping, free dental check-ups and annual vaccinations, through to the most advanced examinations and surgery.

Dental treatments, surgeries and vaccinations are among the treatments that are most often performed on dogs and cats in particular so the hospital features separate dog and cat areas throughout the site for the comfort of each patient.

Proud of the investment
Clinic manager Hanne H. Christiansen is very proud of the investment that IVC Evidensia is making in Kristiansand – a commitment that benefits the entire southern region of Norway.

“The animal owners’ expectations continue to increase, and we must prepare for new technology and efficiency,” Christiansen says.

Country Manager for Evidensia Norway, Cecilie Ryan Yttreeide, describes how this investment is completely aligned with IVC Evidensia’s ambitions.

“Being part of Europe’s largest veterinary chain provides great opportunities for development, ” she says. “IVC Evidensia shall at all times offer highly qualified and up-to-date personnel, and the latest in equipment in all its clinics and animal hospitals. We will always provide the best for the animals, and the best for our employees through a solid professional environment across our clinics.”

Evidensia Sørlandet Animal Hospital is located Krittveien, easily accessible along the E18, halfway between Dyreparken and Kristiansand center.
